Approved For Release 2005/08/03 : CIA-RDP7d-00211 R000500040040-7 2 March 1966 SUBJECT: Safe Requisitions I talked to concerning his request for safes. He submitted a 1490 about anuary. BSO states they have no record 0 11190. However, they did give him a 25X1 tentative date for delivery. Therefore, it is apparent that the BSO had received request. I Isaid that he was 25X1 resubmitting a new 1190 this date. Further, stated that he had talked to 25X1 on 1 March, who stated that there were safes 25X1 that could be observed, but they were in condition 3 therefore re- quired work before they could be delivered to prospective customers. In talking with concerning her request for safes, she reaffirm4d that all the paper work had been destroyed. Nevertheless, she was quite certain that the date of her requisition was 16 February. She had been advised by Logistics, Supply, as had that 25X1 4-drawer safes were unavailable at the time. The safe was delivered however, unbeknown to to the user, on 24 February, about 25X1 a week and a half after Per reques . While and I were visitingi Monday, 28 February, 25X1 we did see some 4-drawer safes that appeared to be available. The department that handles refurbishing safes did acknowledge a backlog but the number seemed to be minimal as compared to the overall number of safes in the warehouse facility. 25X1 Approved For Release 2005/08/03 : CIA-RDP70TO0211 R000500040040-7
