Met with Miss Mary McKeough, in the office of Representative Thomas Pelly (R. -Wash. ), concerning a constituent letter asking for Congressman Pelly to investigate whether a relationship exists between the and the CIA. Miss McKeough felt that our suggested draft reply for the Congressman's signature would fully satisfy their needs and she understands that if the Congressman himself is personally interested, we would be happy to meet with him at his con- venience. Miss McKeough felt that the Congressman would not be personally interested. 8. Picked up from Representative Glenard Lipscomb (R. -Calif.) a copy of a letter he had introduced into the RECORD reporting that military vehicles, jeeps, armored cars, etc., labeled for "HAIPHONG Made in Bucharest, Romania" were observed in the port city at Constanza, Rumania.
