Talked with Jim Cline, on the staff of the Immigration Subcomi,-dttee of the House. He advised that Representative Arch Moore had raiser =ith him the possibility of CIA testifying in executive session as to the intelligence take from the people coming out of Cuba. Mr. Cline was well aware that probably we would not be willing to do this and it was agreed that he would go back to Mr. Moore stating that there would be problems on a Subcommittee session but indicating that the Agency would be happy to discuss this privately with Mr. Moore. Mr. Cline also advised that Christofson of the labor union involving Radio Free Europe. employees had advised him that two union officials have departed from Munich to come to Washington to lobby for passage of the Rodino bill. Cline advised Christofson to discourage such efforts since they could well be counterproductive. He also told Christofson that the recent private bill for an RFE employee should not be used as a precedent to push for introduction of other private bills since this too could be counterproductive.
