OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Thursday - 14 April 1966
25X1
1. Sent a copy of the final draft of the Rodino bill
(H. R. 10400) to Mr. Herbert Hoffman, Chief, Legal and Legislative Section,
Department of Justice. Handcarried a copy of the draft to Mr. Rommel of
BOB. Rommel told me he was sure BOB would have no objections to the bill
in its present form and would let me know in a day or two, at which time I
shall give a copy to J. Cline of the House Subcommittee on Immigration and
Naturalization. Under present arrangements, Cline plans to go forward with
a clean bill.
25XT5X1 2. At his request, forwarded to
NSA, the legislative package on the proposed bill preventing the exploitation
of the CIA name or initials.

3. Received a call from Walter Morgan in Senator
Peter Dominick's office (R. Colo.) asking for any information the Agency can
furnish on Charles W. Wiley, who with Richard Bocklet co-authored an
article in the American Legion Journal entitled "New Vietnams in Latin
America. " After: making appropriate checks, I shall be back in touch with
Morgan.
5. In the absence of Dorothy Fosdick, Staff
Director, Senate National Security and International Operations Subcommittee,,
met with Judith Sparr of the Committee staff and advised that the Warsaw
Pact Paper is in coordination draft stage and should be available in about
two to three weeks. Miss Sparr thought that this would be quite good time
for the Committee.
