1. 1 Representative Dante Fascell (D., Fla.)
called to thank us for our quick response and cooperation regarding the

and we expect our representative to be there early next week.
Bill Jones called and I informed him that we had spoken with
Representative Fascell and everything seemed to be in order.
25X1 Z. David Martin, in the office of
Senator Dodd, called in connection with the Director's proposed letter
for the Stennis Committee. Martin explained that the attorneys wish to pre-
serve their option over the necessity and/or the timing of the release of
this information and that they would therefore prefer that it not be sent
directly to Senator Stennis at this time. I told Mr. Martin that
was on his way to discuss this matter with Martin. After this call the
proposed letter for Stennis was recalled from the Director's office.
25X1 3. Informed J. Garner Cline, of the House
Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization, that Dorothy Miller and
Kamil Bena of the RFE Guild are in the United States, and had intended to
lobby for the Rodino bill for the benefit of RFE. I assured Cline that they
have been instructed that everything possible is being done to expedite the
bill and that they should not bother the Congressman, but they may call the
Congressman to thank him for his efforts on their behalf. Cline said he had
heard that they are in New York and thanked me for our efforts in keeping
them from the Congressman. Cline will inform Rodino's office of their
presence and the fact that they will be calling Rodino's office to thank him.
