I Met with Representative Peter Rodino (D., N. Y.) and Representative Michael Feighan (R., Ohio) and discussed the Rodino bill for the benefit of Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty. (See Memorandum for the Record of 22 September 1966) 2. Pat Holt, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff, called to ask if we could make arrangements for William Bader, of the staff, to be put in touch with our for a general area. . iefing. He indicated Bader was traveling as a part of the congressio:ni delegation to the Interparliamentary Union meeting. Holt indicated it was possible that Senator Hickenlooper would also wish this type of briefing. 3. The Director met with the Mahon Subcommittee of House Appropriations for approximately an hour and a half to discuss various intelligence topics. See Memorandum for the Record. 4. The Director met with the CIA Subcommittees of Senate Armed Services and Appropriations for about two and one-half hours on the Agency 1967 budget. The Chairman requested that we return again tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock for completion of the briefing. See Memorandum for the Record for details. 25X125X1 5. Senator Stennis called inquiring if could make an informal presentation on Thailand to the Preparedness Investigating Subcommittee in executive session with no record with just an across the table chat. After discussing this with the Director and 25X1 I the Senator was notified that Jantzen could do this. The Senator hoped we could set it for 10: 30 Monday rather than 9:30 Friday.
