1. Delivered to the office of Senator
Margaret Chase Smith (R., Maine) a reply to an inquiry from Senator
Smith based on a letter from who thought her
husband had been employed by the Agency.
2. I I Attempted to see J. G. Sourwine,
Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, relative to his request that
appear before the Subcommittee, but Sourwine was not
available. I shall check back on this later.
3. Unable to make contact in my
return call to William T. Finley, Chief Counsel, Senate Subcommittee
on Improvements in Judicial Machinery. I will try again tomorrow.
