bill (H. R. 10400) to Mr. Cline of the House Subcommittee on Immigration
and Naturalization.
Mr. Cline informed me that the hearings on the private bill

2. Mr. Fred Mesmer of the Senate Subcommittee
on Immigration and Naturalization informed me that the report from Immigra-
tion and Naturalization Service on thel reached the Subcommittee
yesterday. I shall furnish Mr. Mesmer with a background information memo-
randum for the Subcommittee.

Senator Thomas J. Dodd, concerning his re uest for the name of the Agency --;:D 25X1 representative who met Senator Dodd in 961.

feeling of our people that since much had already been done in this field, it
did not appear that much could be added at this time. I told Martin that we
naturally wanted to cooperate to the extent possible but thought he would
be interested in this initial reaction. Martin said he was interested in this
and was happy to have the list.
Senator Stephen Young, made several calls during the day seeking information
on the dates of tenure of the various Directors of Central Intelligence. The
information was provided to him.
