6? Talked to William Darden, Senate
Armed Services Committee staff, and gave him a little more information
on However, Mr. Darden felt he would like to go over
this case in some detail and I said I would pull the papers together and be
back intouch with him.
8. Senator John Stennis telephoned
asking if he could get an informal briefing on Southeast Asia or any other
items we wished to bring to his attention. He indicated he did not wish
to bother any of our top people. Arrangements were made for an 11 o'clock
meeting tomorrow morning.
