MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, Contracts Management Division, OSA
SUBJECT: FY 66 Contracts
1. You may note from various documents received
from both the CO P/NBQ and COMP/DD/S&T that we are
severely limited in authorities to adjust amounts of
prior year contracts. This restriction applies to both
overruns and excesses.
2. As we approach the end of the first quarter
TY 67 it is felt that in all probability we should have
almost complete cognizance of the status of expenditures
and commitments for all FY 66 contracts.
3. Request you review each PY 66 contract and ad-
vise as to status of expenditures, commitments and obliga-
tions, to include any excesses or shortages, so that ad-
justments can be made at this time to satisfy all contract
requirements.
4. Further request your comment as to probability
of submitted figures being the final amounts, or whether
you anticipate major or minor variations in the ensuing
months.
