2. Attempted to see Mr. Robert McManus,
Special Subcommittee on Internal Security, concerning the inquiries

from Senator Dirkson regarding the testimony of Ion
Soviet assassinations. Mr. McManus was out and will not be back
until Wednesday; I will try to see him at that time.
3. Left in the custody of Mr. William Darden,
Senate Armed Services Committee staff, certain sensitive selected
materials commenting on the New York Times articles on CIA. Mr.
Darden is to hold these against a call from Senator Symington who
has an interest in these items. STATSPEC
Also left with Mr. Darden, a copy of the = round-up on
the New York Times articles and intelligence documents on Commu-
nist ma and the Soviet Union.

6. Mr. Peter Gerardi, House Science &
Astronautics Committee, advised that he is starting a project for the
Chairman looking into the questions of space walking, rescue of disabled
astronauts or vehicles and related matters. He requested assistance
in identifying unclassified material, American or Soviet, that has been
developed to date on these subjects. Available material is being drawn
together by FMSAC.
