Attached for your review and for our discussion is a
schedule of estimated funding requirements for the fiscal year
ending 30 June 1962. This schedule is based on the assumption
that Contract PR-8200 would be reduced in scope to eliminate
the requirements for field support after 30 June 1962 and that
new contracts would be written to cover field support and main-
tenance and overhaul effective 1 July 1962. Thus, Contract
PR-8200 would cover all work, in-plant and at the Area, through
30 June 1962, and would cover in-plant work on undelivered
units from 1 July 1962 forward. The contract would be completed
with the delivery of the last unit to the Area.
Field support and maintenance and overhaul would be
set up as separate contracts following the pattern previously
used and operational spares would be set up as a call contract
starting as soon as possible so that operational spares can be
procured in time to be available for operational use.
