Subject: Final Cost Statement
The Technical Report SP-905, required by subject contract was
submitted by our letter of December 17, 1965. As stated in
that letter, we believe that we have amply explored the re-
quirements contemplated by the study, notwithstanding that
the total final price is less than one-third of the original
forecast. The results of the study are self explanatory and
indicate the feasibility of making certain modifications to
the A-12 or SR-71 airplane to meet the proposed requirement.
Enclosed is our total final cost statement and price proposal
required by Part IX, Retroactive Price Redetermination After
Completion. We propose that the final price be $18,450.00
and request that you advise when we may meet to discuss this
proposal with you.
