1. Lieut. General Robert L. Eichelberger, former
Commanding General of the Eight Any, Japan, will discuss
current problems in that country at 10:00 on Thursday,
September 16, 1914$, in the Situation Room.
2. The Eighth Army was the tactical command for the
Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers and had charge of
..all training and military government units in Japan.
This was General Eichelberger's last command prior to re-
tirement.
11 3. Recipients are requested to notify t he Presentation
Division, OR?, of the names of the persons who are to
attend this presentation. if cancellation of reservations be-
comes necessary., the Presents.&ior Division should be promptly
notified.
