Your attention is directed to the Disposition Form from Acting Chief, ICAPS, 9 August 1946, which requests that the Office of Collection, through Approved For Release 2000/08/23 : CIA-RDP64-00658A000100110002-4 (1742-5) Approved For Release 2000/08/23 : CIA-RDP64-00658AO00100110002-4 consultation with the three intelligence agencies of the Government maintaining overt collection representatives in the China area, under- take a study of the completeness of coverage in that area for the purpose of developing recommendations to ICAPS for improvement of the current coverage. This request was approved and sent to you for action. 2. Although you state in paragraph 2 that this consultation and study has already been held and the results thereof are included in the old papers, have you consulted with the three departments to be-sure that the old study is up to date and its provisions in accord with the latest thought in the three departments.
