1. The sequence of events which will occur in the accomplish-
ment of reconnaissance of Indonesia will obviously be dictated by
rc uLts of meetings in progress as well as the completion of existing
25X1A equirements. In general terms deployment to forward
operating bases in support of target requirements in Indonesia can be
accomplished as indicated below:

from Edwards AFB..
b.. Personnel deploy direct from Edwards AFB and
equipment deploy direct fro 25X1A
2. Time permitting the entire detachment should be redeployed
frorrE~ to Edwards AFB. This will allow the detachment to
accomplish required maintenance on support equipment which is not
normally accomplished in the field. In addition, the detachment will
be able to replenish spare. parts kits. The sequence of events
subsequent to return of the detachment to Edwards AFB would be
generally as listed below:
a. Preparation phase for Edwards detachment including
repairs to equip and replace spares will require approximately
two weeks.

c. A survey team consisting of representatives from
Communications, Materiel, Security, and Operations plus
representation from Edwards AFB will visit bases in question.

Over-all time from first notice to complete communications
coordination is three weeks.
Preferably this team will be accompanied by

material for the first point of landing on the ferry route.

frogging the U-2 and KC-135 to successive intermediate
bases.

(5) OR status and secure communications should be

detachment fro to. Edwards AFB it is anticipated that the
deployment t ill be. accomplished,

c. An advance echelon from Edwards. AFB will be
required.
d. The same general plan for ferrying the aircraft from
Edwards AFB will apply.
e. Coordination will be accomplished so that the arrival
of equipment from ill be subsequent 25X1 C
to the arrival of detachment personnel from Edwards AFB.
f. Estimated time for establishment of communications
and operational readiness will be approximately five hours
subsequent to the arrival of material F7 -1 25X1 C

4. The above plans are based on the assumption that require-
ments for North Viet Nam and Sino-Indian border have been completed
or at least satisfied to the extent that day-to-day liability for such
coverage will not exist.
