SUBJECT: Statistics pertaining to A-2 Configuration.
1. The followin statistics have been accumulated through a
study of forty-one (41) As-2 missions including B-1316 flown on
1 Nov. 1956. In some cases data when submitted by detachments was
and is fragmentary or not pertinent to evaluation. In cases such
as this, information had to be extrapolated to obtain the following
data:
A. Out of 41 A-2 missions
1. The Left Oblique operated successfully 28 times or
with a reliability of 68_.
2. The Vertical operated successfully 32 times or with
a reliability of 78,0%.
3. The Right Oblique operated successfully 33 times or
with a reliability of 80.2&
B. In the course of 41 missions due to malfunctions:
1.
All cameras including tracker failed in 4 missions.

2.
Only 1 camera operated throughout ,2? missions. (
