SUBJECT: FHB 45-450-1, Field Supply Procedures
13 December 1954
1. Work on this proposed publication was commenced by Supply Division/LO
in October 1952.
2. Drafts (carbon copies) were forwarded to Logistics Office elements for
concurrence in January 1953.
3. Based on Logistics Office element's comments, draft was rewritten
and ditto reproduced in March 1953?
4. Ditto drafts forwarded for working level coordination in March 1.953.
5. Comments, as a result of working level coordination, were evaluated
and necessary conferences held. Revisions were made to ditto draft and submitted
/A to DD for format and editorial changes in May 1953-
-with ~DD/`A returned editorial changes in June 1953.
Revisions were made and reproduced (muitilith) in July 1953.
8. The July 1953 Edition was forwarded in July 1953 for working level
coordination.
9. Tear, from Comptroller's Office and Supply Division handcarried the
July 1953 Edition to FE area in August 1953 for application in that area.
10. Comments, as a result of working level coordination, were evaluated
in September 1953 and revised version reproduced in October 1953.
11. In September 1953, the D/DCI approved the field service test of these
proposed procedures until such time as the final approved publication was dis-
seminated. This final publication was to be the result of the service test and
experience gained by the Logistics Team on their field trip.
12. Copies of October 1953 Edition were furnished Area Divisions for pouching
to the field in October 1953 for service tests.
13. Logistics Team departed for field trip in mid-October 1953 to European
area for purpose of installing procedures at certain stations on a service test
basis.

14. Logistics Team returned from field trip in April 1954.
15. Based upon service tests and experience gained by Logistics Team,
the October 1953 Edition was revised and published in July 1954.
16. The July 1954 Edition was forwarded for
on 27 July 1954.

18. Working level comments are being evaluated and resolved. Revision to
the July 1954 Edition is in process. It is expected to complete the revision and
forward to the Regulations Control Staff by 31 January 1955 for formal coordination
and publication.
