1. Subject of Proposed Project: Assistance on Boundary Inventory
Program, Department of State.
2. Statement of Problem: At the recommendation of the Bureau of the
Budget, the Office of the Geographer, Department of State, will
maintain an inventory file of information on all international
boundaries.b assist in the establishment of the inventory, the
Geography Division has been requested to furnish brief analyses of
the significant problems associated with boundaries within or touching
upon the Sino-Soviet Bloc. Cartographic illustrations will be
included where esserxt3 al. Tor clarification. A break-down of the
boundaries involved, and. the D/GG Branch having responsibility, is
