1. Annual Report to NSC
ififilm, advised that the GRA contribution to the "Annual Report
to NSC on Status of Foreign Intelligence Program" was submitted to the
AD/RR and that ORR's contribution to USIB included GM's contribution
(in revised form).
2. Conference on Military Requirements for Geodesy
25)C reported that all arrangements for attendance at the Conference
on Military Requirements for Geodesy at the Army Map Service, 6 and 7 August 1959,
have been made for 25X1 A9a
3. Whitten USSCGS Project
a
25X1A1a - reported that 00 agreed to subsidize Mr. Whitten's USCGS project
in the amount This was certified to by ORR and concurred in by OCR.
4. ACIC

announced that ACIC has registered a complaint about the handling
of aerial photography in NIS. ACIC does not feel Army should be doing it. They
suggested re-examination of NIS responsibility and also the outline. A meeting
is to be held the latter part of this month to iron out the problem.
5. Africa Roundtable

recommended to that it would be beneficial for D/GC and
D/GL to participate, since their participation by these components in Far East
Committee has already proved to be beneficial.

25X7A90ungarian Geodetic and Cartographic Conference
- advised, while on a two-month TDY in Copenhagen, Denmark, he
intends to make a trip to Budapest, Hungary to attend the Hungarian Geodetic
and Cartographic Conference which is to be held some time during the month
of September. He will also visit Moscow to discuss IGU problems with
several Russian geographers, if feasible. - is to coordinate 25X1A9a
his plans for the two short TDY trips and the trip to Budapest and
Moscow with D/OG and. D/GC components.
8. Each Division Chief reported on significant problems or actions
taken since the last staff meeting. These include D/GG relations with
the "China Atlas", and priority problems in D/GC.

commented as of this date no decision has been made as to
the number of G!RA personnel that will participate in OPAL 1959 (24, 25
and 26 August) and that perhaps only 2 from D/GL, 3 from D/GG and
3 or 4 from D/GC will be needed. Decision to be made at a later meeting
between the AD/M and Area Chiefs. In addition, notified
25X1 A9a the group that he had requested - to prepare a Terms of 25X1 A9a
Reference Paper for OPAL 1959" as it applies to GRA's participation.
