MEMORANDUM FOR: J. Q. Reber
SUBJECT : Highest Priority Targets
1. For the record, and perhaps to achieve consistency in
future documents, I managed to turn the 39 "asterisked" highest
priority targets into 35, in accordance with our phone conver-
sation this morning.
2. My 35 nee 39 is as follows:
Far East Western USSR
ngars. Belaya ass rkov
Irkutsk Borispol
Klyuchi Chepelevka
Komsomolsk (2) Glazov
Gomel/Pribytki
Kapustin Yar (2)
Kazan (2)
Kyshtym
Lukhovitsky
Mirogorod
11olotovsk (2)
Moscow/Ramenskoye
Moscow/Shchelkovo;
Mozhaysk
Murmansk/Severomorsk
Nozhnaya Tura
Pochinok
Poltava
Priluki
Saratov/Engels
Sarova/Shatki
Seshcha
Tartu
Verkne Neyvinskiy
Voronezh
Zhitomir (2) /
25X1
P.S. I still think it should be 30 rather than 35, but I'm
willing to go on the record as four-square for consistency. We
can always Justify my list on the basis that there are a few
p aces like Kapustin Yar for which we want two photos rather than
one'" Approved For Release 2003/12/23 : CIA-RDP61 SO075OA000500030123-6
