Review of Middle East Requirements
I. I gave a briefing on the intelligence
community's views on the current situation in Lebanon? He indicated
that the situation#, which might be explosive at any moment,, would continue
to be tense and uncertain at least until 24 July, the occasion for the election
of a new President of Lebanon.

3, The Chairman requested that in order to ensure specific
requirements guidance to Operations the members should transmit by
phone and by coda to his office prior to 10 a, m. Monday, 30 June,
specific targets which they wish covered,, such requirements having
taken into account the existing recent coverage and I reports,
