to Your office is invited to submit requirements for the OCI Periodic
Requirements List on - Latin America 25X6A
for the period 1 December 1955 - 31 March 1956. A sample current OCI
List herewith attached will serve as a guide in the preparation of require-
ments on aZW of the above countries.
2. If your offieft is interested in submitting requirements, it should
be borne In mind that they should be current information targets for this
guidance of the field and not basic requirements. Where advantageous, some
background Information should be given.
3. The OCI Periodic Requirements List is designed to forecast for the
coming tour-month period the developments of significance In the particular
area covered and to point up the specific information that is required for
effective current Intelligence coverage of theime developments. The List is 25X1 A7b
used as a guide for both overt and covert collection and is distributed to
the following: Fl,, pDD, State, Army, Navy, and Air. 25X1 A2g
4. Attention -to called to the fact that no requirement is automatic-
ally carried over f~,bom one period to the next unless it is specifically in-
dicated that it be :included in the new list at requirements. Hence, if your
office is desirous ' continuing requirements, from the present list, it should
so indicate by "Retain item , page - " or other suitable phrasing.
5. Any requir?aente that your office ncy wish to submit should be for-
varded to St/I/R, Room 1217 M Building by Thursday, 10 November 1955,
(Attention: W. -_) and should reference ORR 9+62.
