To report to the Chairman, Intelligence Advisory Committee (IAC) regarding a staff visit to 11-21 June 1956, by Lt. Colonel George H. Full coordination was effected with 25X1 C Chairman, IDC; and Chief, 25X1 A EE Division/DDP, prior to the departure of GMIC staff 25X1A representatives. Also, informal coordination was effected with Mr. Chief,_who was on TDY in Washington, D. C. 4. is extremely receptive to the offer of GMIC guidance and support and indicated great interest in GMIC's preliminary planning in this area. An ad hoc subcommittee of GMIC was established on 21 May 1956 to review all existing guided missile intelligence guides and re uirements that might be used in the interro- gation Where it appears that such guides are inadequate or outdated, GMIC will take appropriate action to provide adequate, up-to-date guidance for the use of_ 25X1C 5. Channels of communication and administrative procedures were established to insure a rapid flow of information and uidance b g e- 25X1 C tween and GMIC. 25X1 C 6. -indicated a possible requirement for support on the scene by a representative of GMIC assigned to the staff. GMIC in- dicated a ca abilit to provide such support if and when requested 25X1 C officially 25X1 C 25X1 C 7. Within the broad framework of these discussions wits further detailed planning will be initiated. 25X1 C 8. The interval between the completion of the staff visit and the submission of this report results from the fact that the basic papers involved have only recently been received 25X1A ACTION RECOMMENDED: 13. No action by Chairman, Intelligence Advisory Committee, required at this time. L messages -will be relayed to the Chairman, GMIC, through assigned military liaison officers. (Lt. Colonel Bachmann, USAF, - 25X1 C 10. In January 1956, a Guided Missile Intelligence Conference, was tentatively scheduled to be held in Washington, D. C. , in the Fall of 1956. now indicate they would prefer to schedule such a conference in the Spring of 1957, with an agenda to be agreed upon by representatives of GMIC and in December 1956 or January 1957. Upon completion of informal preliminary planning, the proposal for a Guided Missile Intelligence Conference will be submitted to the IAC for consideration. 11.
