SIGNIFICANT ITEMS None to report. B. OTHER ACTIVITIES 1. The Area and Plans and Research Components of LAS completed their move into the 1800 Wing of Quarters Eye on Monday, thus consolidating the School for the first time since expanded activities were undertaken in 1955. The Language Test Development and Testing Branches will remain in "I" Building, using the office and lecture room off 2132 "I" Building. Telephone numbers for A/T Faculty and PRA remain the same. Test Development and Testing have been assigned extention 2780. Much credit is due the Services and Support Staff of the Office of Training and Logistics for their efficient and effective support and accomplishment of the move. 2. A case came up of a man who had taken the FBI course in Cambodian and had taken the FBI proficiency test at its conclusion. Since the FBI is our only source for a native speaker for oral testing, and since the FBI test in reading Cambodian is better than ours for the iven proficiency level, it was decided, with Lff approval, to accept the results of the PSI test in- stead of giving the man another test. 3. Forty two people reported for Proficiency tests last week in German, French, Portuguese, Swedish and Russian. 4. Sixteen orals were given last week in Swedish, Spanish and French. 5. During the past week the following books were received by the LAS/TR Library in 1823 Qtrs. Eye. Buss, Claude A. Southeast Asia and the world today.
