The major activity of the week is the L__ participants in the Overseas Effectiveness course. of LAS are participating. I the group on Thursday. vi sit by will join 2. ~ met with Mr. Karamessines to arrange tutorial training for hire before his departure. It was agreed that LAS would provide a list of candidates from our VLTP roster and that Mr. Karamessines would arrange to obtain the services of one in- structor during duty hours. The instructor list has been forwarded and we will work out a study plan with the instructor when he is selected. 3. Four st dents from the VLTP French Seminar spent the week- end at with four VLTP instructors and a French-s eaking wife o one o them. Two more instructors and joined the group for the full day Saturday. Since two instructors are native in proficiency and all the students are 'Intermediate or High on the Agency Proficiency Test scores the weekend was the best ever experienced in the VLTP. 4. The following courses will end this week: Russian Basic Reading (II) Russian Intermediate RSW (II) Russian Intermediate Science and Technology Reading (II) Russian Intermediate Economic and Political Reading (II) Russian Familiarization 25X1 25X1 2 A11 25 YEAR 5. The EE Division has asked us to vanced training in Polish for who are scheduled during the summer. me the latter and has arranged a program of Polish study, involving and him- self as instructors.
