B. OTHER ACTIVITIES
1. Both the Language and Area Roundtables are meeting at
Brushwood this week. A joint meeting will be held on Thursday
and separate meetings simultaneously on Friday. Notables repre-
senting their organizations include General Royce of the Mili-
tary Institute, Ben Warfield of USIA, and Col. Greffet of the
Strategic Intelligence School.
2. as received and declined an invitation from
Cornell University to address a conference of U. S. and Canadian
professors and students of Far Eastern affairs on the subject of
Far Eastern research.
3. The area faculty has completed first draft of its pro-
posed research plan. Final proposal will be completed shortly
after we return from the
