I. SIGNIFICANT ITEMS A. S & T Syllabus: The major portion of my time during the reporting period was consumed in rewriting the S & T syllabus. I'm happy to report that this 20-page document has been completed and is ready for distribution. A copy is attached for your information. B. Document Security: As you will note on the attached syllabus, we have placed the classification of "SECRET -- CIA INTERNAL USE ONLY" on each copy of the syllabi that contain a recapitulation of the min- ing objectives of our various courses. We checked out with 0 obtain a proper classification and are using this, in response to his suggestion. In addition, each copy is numbered and the recipient must sign a receipt for the document. Attached to this report is a draft of a memorandum which I would like to see accompany each syllabus. My sole question re the memorandum concerns the source. Would DTR desire to sign the memorandum? Chief, Operations School? or CH/OS? II. OTHER ITEMS A. Instructor Debut: gave his first lecture on 1 April. He spoke on the subject of intelligence, operational and contact reporting at the IRRR course. His two-hour presentation was well-received, and evoked a considerable number of questions. Joe ran over-time ten minutes at the request of the students in responding to their questions. We'11 have more of this as time goes on. B. Su ort for Staff visited C/OS to request his guidance and assistance in the handling of a heavy schedule of instruction in clandestine field activities. e meeting at Glen's request.
