MEMORANDUM TO COUNCIL ON FOREIGN ECONOMIC POLICY
Subject: CFEP 568 - United States Foreign Economic Policy for Africa
South of the Sahara.
1. The National Security Council has requested the Council on
Foreign Economic Policy to review and submit appropriate recommenda-
tions concerning United States foreign economic policy on Africa south
of the Sahara.
2. Pursuant to the above, I have prepared the attached recom-
mendations for your consideration.
3. They are scheduled for the formal consideration of the Council
on Foreign Economic Policy on June 17, 1958.
