1. On June 5, 1958, I transmitted to "-Council -members for
onsideration my recommendations with respect to United States
oreign economic policy for Africa South of the Sahara.
2.l have since received from some Council rriembers
suggestions which I consider to be most constructive ant deserving
o incorporation in my policy recommendations.
Accordingly, I have prepared the attached .revision of
rnyiecornmendations to be substituted for the recommendations of
Jurie,.,"5 , 1958 (CFEP 568/1).

paper to which the Council on Foreign Economic `Policy will address
uteelf at the meeting on this subject scheduled for. June ' 17, 1958
