B. ACCOMPLISHM TS BY COMPONENTS:

during the month of June representing a decrease of sixty over the
preceding month. One hundred seventy-t',10 projects are assigned and
undergoing photo analysis which is an increase of five over the month of
May. Nineteen are joint projects working ,,ith Army and/or Navy analysts.
Nineteen projects were cancelled for lack of coverage and ad,-iinistrative
reasons.
A total of 169 re,uests for reproduction were received, checked,
assigned priorities and submitted to the photo lab. Over 5,000 documents
..,ere received, evaluated and distributed-to division coi1ponents.
In addition to the time spent on routine functions, much time was
devoted to numerous meetings and consultations in coordinating activities
with Agency and non-Agency components.
2. Special Projects Branch: Most of the effort was spent on the pro-
duction of miscellaneous working papers, special graphics, and reports,
in support of high priority reyuirements levied on the Division. The
Branch completed three reports for DD/P, two informal reports for OCI,
three reports which satisfied self initiated re:~uire,nents and one :mosaic.
Work continues on 58 projects most of which will result in the production
of special working papers.
3. Geogra hic Branch: The Branch devoted 701oo of its project time on
requirements for the ORR Economic Area, 19% for DD/P, eight percent for
the DD/I and three percent for the ORB Geographic Area. A total of eight
reports (six of .:hick are joint reports) and four inform-,,al reports were
completed during the month. Considerable time was spent on two large
area studies for DD/P. Planning continues and trork is in progress on
city plans. The Branch is working on-45 projects.
!:. Industrial Branch: Highlight of Branch activity during the month as
the consultant meeting conducted in cooperation with OSI. The photo
interpretation and graphic illustrations presented at this meeting -,.,ere
very .ell received. A successful and profitable trip was made by Messrs.
25X1 A9 to a number of installations in the western part of the
United States. The Branch completed Four reports, and work began on nine
ne,,T projects, Work is continuing on-30 projects.
5. Technical Intelligence Branch: The Branch devoted most of its effort
in support of top priority prdje is reuiring metrical analysis, computer
progra:mning, and the production of graphic materials. One reports 10
working papers and 33 graphics were completed during the ionth. ;'study of
