Salaries for Senior Officals of the Department
of State
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee yesterday approved a
mil to increase the salaries of certain senior officials of the
Department of State.
Under this legislation the salary of the Under Secretary of State
would be increased from $1,,500 per annum to $21,500 per annum.
Positions for three Deputy Under Secretaries of State would be
created at $20, 500 per annum and the salaries of the ten Assistant
Secretaries of Staty would be raised from $15.000 to $20,000 per
annum. The bill would also contain the present provision rant
