1. This bill would establish, within the Department of La-b( '^ .
a Federal Safety Division responsible for the direction of safety ,
educational programs and preventive procedures throughout the Fedesa_I.
Government, including Government-owned corporations. The Director
of such Division is given very broad authorities in the collectionwo'
data, including (Sec. 2(d)(7)) a right to inspect premises and inttrro4iti
personnel and (Sec. 2(e))...to enter a n d to authorize the entry of apps p?i?tr
officers of his Division, in order to inspect...and inve-A.igate...t a ha mi.v
deem necessary to carry out his duties pursuant to this .,act.." OGC
2. The Act also provides (Sec. 2(i) that an amount not lees th u
