Approved For Rele e T 9A OM00010045-1'' 2 November 1955 MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, Operations School SUBJECT: Weekly Activities Report No. 1+4 26 October through 1 November 1955 I. SIGNIFICANT ITEMS a. At a special clean-UP session (26 October 1955), the draft report of the Seminar was for the most part rejected by the seminar members* However, the main conclusions as cited in last week's report (No. 43) were generally approved. The members generally objected to the report because they believed that it left the reader with a distorted view of t overall performance of certain of the units concerned with as well as exaggerated the nature and extent of certain of the problems discussed, particularly those having to do with the organizational aspects of the Clandestine Services. In recognition of these views as well as a number of other factors, it has been concluded that no further effort should be made to finalize the draft report and that the best disposition of the whole matter would be simply to hold it available on file in the Office of Training as a part of the seminar notes. Despite this decision, we believe that the seminar was worthwhile and that it represented an important step forward in the direction of collecting a body of information from experience in operations on which to base training instruction. We plan, therefore, to conduct additional seminars in the future. 25X1 Approved For Releas 5 - - 339A000200010045-1 ApproveV"For Relea C 1 17 ? 58-039A0002QSP10045-1 This collection of material will be turned over to at the conclusion of No. 12 which began 3 October and will end 10 Hove rm 1955, ~~3s atte this final running and has been assigned to handle the r- I II, OTHER ITE[ a, War Planning No. 4 commenced on 28 October 1955.
