INDOCTRINATI CSI 1. Today, Thursday, 17 December 1953, a total of 34 persons attended the weekly Indoctrination Program. Baker, Military Intelligence Research Specialist, Special Research Branch, Production Division 2. Audience evaluation: Very poor; far below average. 3. The Chief, OB/D, received word that the Inspector General who was scheduled to attend the Indoctrination Program on 17 December, instead will attend on 7 January 1954. 25X1 4. Spoke t Chief, Personnel Procurement Division, to get his reaction on the flow of new persons into the Agency so as to measure workload at future Indoctrination Programs. stated that he ex- pected the flow of incoming people to drop to a trickle by March and also remarked that the persons now coming in have been in the pipeline for the last three and one-half months. II. ORIENTATION 25X1 Talked to the Assistant Director, ORR, suggesting that if possible he place a woman on the ORR Panel at the Thirteenth Orientation Course. received the suggestion favorably, and we will discuss it further in the next few days. SPECIAL 1. On Tuesday, 15 December, the Chief, OB/D, briefed Maj. William Schmelzer and-Maj. Joseph C. Vizi, instructors on collection at the Intelligence Staff Officer Course, Air Command and Staff School, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The Chief, OB/D, an then accompanied the officers on a tour of the Office of Collection and Dissemination after meeting with Dr. James Assistant Director, OCD. Training Officer, Directorate of Intelligence, reported t hat the officers found their visit to CIA extremely interesting and profitable. 2. The Chief, OB/D, spoke on the Mission and Functions of CIA to the Armor Officers Advanced Class and the senior officers of the Staff and Faculty of the Armored School and the Armored Center at Fort Knox, Kentucky on Friday, 11 December.
