On 6 January 1959 1 briefed as follows: a. CHALICE. I showed the approved mission 25X1A6a from _ which was intended to photograph suspected ICBM launch sites along the Polyarnny orals railway. He was most interested and asked whether or not we might be able to go back and get it at some later date. I advised him that if the series of missions now planned are 25X1A6a successful, it I. planned to return to =around the first of May to complete this mission and others for which presidential approval would be sought. 25X1X7 25X1A2g b.
