SUBJECT: World Atlases, Volume I, Western Hemisphere
In conversation with Mr. Beach, Assistant Staff Director, Joint
Committee on Printing, he stated that the CIA was considered exempt
from the provisions of Title 44 U.S.C. Therefore, the purchase of
the Atlases in question from the CIA for sale by the Superintendent
of Documents did not violate the intent of those Regulations. We
were given permission to proceed.
