Talked with Representative Morris Udall's office concerning his letter to the Director on behalf of a Tucson firm which is developing a secure communication system. The Congressman was interested in knowing who the firm should contact to determine whether there was any Agency interest. Having checked with the Office of Logistics, I suggested that the contact be made with at the Agency address. Miss Kell, in the Congressman's office, thanked me for this information. 10. Talked with Judith Denton, Peru Desk at State Department, and Mr. John White, Congressional Relations Office of State, concerning our instructions to the field on Senator Ellender's travel. We are suggesting that State and Agency representatives be responsive to the Senator's personnel inquiries and that Headquarters would be in touch with him upon his return. cc: Ex/Dir-Compt DD IS Mr. Goodwin OPPB DD/S&T SAO/DDP JOHNS.
