That review is now complete. Accordingly, the private sector involvement study should be made publicly available in keeping with the decision to seek ways to encourage the private sector into civil land remote sensing. The Department of Commerce through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will release the document. Any covering memorandum should state that the study was only the first step in exploring private sector interests and that the Administration's goal is the eventual operation by the private sector of civil land remote sensing activities.
