'WASHINGTON (AP)-opening a perjury I
hial against an official of the International
Telephone & Telegraph Corp., federal purse-
cutors acted to st er clear of areas involving
certain contacts with the Central InteIli-
gence Agency and a high official of the gov-
' ernment of Chile.
The official, Robert Berrellez, is one of
two ITT employes who have been charged
with lying to a Senate ;,om.r-itt2e during a
197;! probe ,into alleged involvement in
Chile's 1970 presidenrial elections by ITT
