Mr. Edson Spencer of Honeywell volunteered to set up a series of meetings in Minneapolis at my request. He would like 90 days notice in order to get the right people there. I told him we'd look for something perhaps in February. 2. The format would be to fly to Minneapolis in the morning. He would arrange a luncheon of 15 or 20 key businessmen. He would then like me to come out to Minneapolis Honeywell and see what they are doing in the R&D areas. I think we could also sandwich in an editorial board meeting in the afternoon and perhaps a visit to one or two other contractors in the area. 3. Ed Spencer would then give a private dinner for us in the everrirrg and we would probably stay overnight and come back the next morning. I would like to do this one. 4. Rube Mettler agreed to_head something up on the 7th of November in Cleveland, probably at 5 p.m. He would get a group together for dis- cussion to be followed by cocktails but not dinner. 5. I told him if it were necessary I could stay over to the next morning, but otherwise I would try to return home that evening. He said. he would be in touch with us on Monday.
