CHARTER
PRC SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY' WORKING GROUP
I. PURPOSE
The PRC SF,T Working Group is established to advise
the STIC on issues in China's development of science
and technology which require Community attention and
to propose specific studies in those areas to the STIC.
In addition, the PRC S$T Working Group will serve as
a forum for analyst interaction and a Community frame-
work to discuss or resolve critical issues.
II. TASKING
The China S~,T titi'orking Group will receive its
tasking by memorandum from the STIC. Each task will
describe the required action and will establish a
deadline for product submission to the STIC.
III. MEMBERSHIP
The China S~,T l~`orking Group will be made up of,
but not limited to, representatives from those organ-
izations which hold membership on the STIC. Working
Group nominees will be submitted by STIC members and
selected by the Chairman of the STIC.
