BIOGRAPHY
SISK, B. F. , Democrat, of Fresno, Calif. ; born Montague, Tex.,
December 14, 1910, the son of Arthur Lee and Lavina (Thomas)
Sisk; graduated from Meadow, Tex. , high school as class
president and valedictorian; attended Abilene Christian College,
Abilene, Tex.; moved to San Joaquin Valley of California in
1937, where he was employed in agriculture and food processing
industries and as civilian flight dispatcher for U. S. Air Force
during World War II; resigned as assistant general manager in
charge of sales of tire distributing business upon election to
Congress; member of Church of Christ; past president, North
Fresno Kiwanis Club; member of Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge
No. 445; member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 39;
member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Fresno
Lodge No. 439; married April 20, 1931, to Reta Mitchell;
