as above, dated 12 September 1968, wherein information is set forth
concerning individuals who may very well be identical with Will Burtin's
past ,and/or present associates, Shad Polier, Robert L. Leslie, Rhoda
Miller, and Leonard C. Rennie.
This Agency would appreciate receiving any information your
Bureau may develop on William Burtin or his cu.rr ent wife, Cipe Pineles

The FBI report dated 3 July 1968 reflects that when co-Subject's
applied for passports on 3 April 1961, they listed the following indivi-
dual be notified in the event of death or accident: Siaa1 1iex, lawyer,
60 East 42nd Street, New York, New York.

(PHS), dated 22 April 1943. You will note that this PHS is witnessed by
Dr. Robert L. Leslie, and. that Dr. Robert L. Leslie, 130 West 46th
Street, New York City is listed by Burtin as a credit reference.
Robert L. Leslie may very well be identical wi;th. Robert Lincoln

Subject of an FBI investigation under the caption, "Rudolph Bass,
Security Matter - C", (Bureau file 100-403936-RM).
In addition, in his OSS PUS, Will Burtin listed, among others,
the following references:
Rhoda Miller 425 East 78th Street, New York City;
and. Leonard C. Rennie, Chief of Exhibits, Agricul-
tural Marketing Administration, Washington, D. C.
(Interview set forth in gss investigative report,
dated 24 May 1943).
Rhoda Miller may very well be identical with the Subject of FBI
investigative reports captioned, "Rhoda Miller, aka: Rhoda Miller
DeSilva, aka: Mrs. Xoseph DeSilva, Internal Security - R" (Bureau
' file 100-208690).
Leonard C. Rermie may very well be identical with Leonard
Crane Rennie who is mentioned on pages 8 and 9 of FBI investigation
reports captioned, "Roy E. Stryker, aka: Roy Emerson Stryker",
dated. 23 January 1952, at New York. This report reflects that Leonard
Crane Rennie was investigated under the provision of .Executive Order.
9835 in 1948.
