Team,
I invite you to join me for a small ceremony on Monday morning to commemorate the 16th anniversary of the 9/11
attacks. We'll also take a moment to remember the attacks of five years ago in Benghazi, Libya, which took the lives of
Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith of the State Department, and two of our own, Glen Doherty and Tyrone
Woods.
We'll gather at 8:40 a.m. in the upper lobby of the Original Headquarters Building, in front of the framed American flag
that hangs near the entrance to the Security Operations Center. In tribute to the victims, we'll place a wreath near the
flag and observe a moment of silence at 8:46 am, the time when the first plane struck the World Trade Center in New
York.

And it reminds us of our duty�both as intelligence officers and as Americans�to be relentless in pursuing and
defeating all those who threaten to bring terror and destruction to our shores.
