The Fine Arts Commission is proud to announce the showing of five new . pieces of art on loan from the estate of Vincent Melzac. Sheila Melzac has generously agreed to continue the tradition established by her late husband of loaning the Agency outstanding examples of contemporary American art. � 2. The new paintings, described below, represent a departure from the� more purely geometric works which have been on display. The display of these new paintings was made possible by a loan agreement signed between the Agency and Mrs. Melzac as executrix for Mr. Melzac's estate. Mr. Melzac (1914-1989) was a distinguished Washington area entrepreneur and a renowned collector, of contemporary American art of'tfie 4-1LL 1950s and 1960s.
