Reference is made to our request of 15 April 1953 for prelim-
inary inquiries to determine whether the case of the subject person
mould require further processing under the provisions of Executive
Order 9835 and to your report of 11 June 1953, file number 121-44578.
We have reviewed your report of 11 June whioh contains several
items of information including one pertaining to his membership or
aotivities in an organisation which has been declared within the
purview of Executive Order 10450.
In view of the sensitive nature of the work to which the sub-
ject xould be assigned as a oonsultant to this Agency, it is requested
that a full field investigation be conducted under Exeoutive Order
10450.
Professor Zacharias is still employed by the Massachusetts In-
stitute of Technology as indicated on the Personal History Statement
forwarded with our letter of 15 April 1953.
