The Muslim Brotherhood [MB] group has called for a serious and
comprehensive dialogue in order to agree on what preserves the
country and its security.
In a statement it issued on its ordinary session, which was held
today, the MB Shura Council said that the MB "is against any
aggression that threatens the security of Jordan." It affirmed that
"the MB will be one rank with all components of the Jordanian
people
in order to protect the homeland against any outside threat." The
statement dealt with a number of domestic and Arab issues. The
following is the text of the statement:

The Shura Council met today, Thursday, 6 Dhu-al-Qi'dah 1434 Hegira,
corresponding to 12 September 2013, and discussed the agenda
presented by the Shura Council Bureau in an atmosphere of
fraternity
and responsibility in light of the current circumstances in the
region in general and Jordan in particular. The council discussed
the
situation, which the Egyptian arena is going through, and affirmed
its support for the Egyptian people's demands of the need for the
return of the elected legitimacy and the rejection of the bloody
coup. It called for the need to reject everything that resulted
from
the military coup and criminalize the criminal massacres, which it
carried out, and the need to punish their perpetrators.
The council also examined the Syrian situation and affirmed its
rejection of foreign intervention in Syria and held the regime
responsible for any foreign intervention that might take place. It
affirmed its conviction that the Syrian people alone are capable of
liberating Syria from this criminal ruling clique, which uses
chemical weapons to kill the sons of its people. The Syrian people
are also capable of achieving their freedom and objectives. The
council also called for the need to lift the international ban on
the
armament of the [Free Syrian] Army and the popular revolution.
The council also affirmed the need to expedite the cancellation of
the jurisdictions of the military court (the State Security Court)
to
try civilians and the need to release the political prisoners and
the
prisoners of the popular movement, who have faced false charges
simply because they demanded reform and freedom. The council held
the
government responsible for any harm to the brother prisoners due to
their continued detention or as a result of their hunger strike.
The council examined the situation of the reform movement in Jordan
and stressed the objectives of the reform. The council also
rejected
violence in society and the use of firearms at the House of
Representatives and called for the promulgation of a parliamentary
election law that supersedes the truncated one-person, one-vote law
and its disastrous effects on the homeland.
The council called for a serious, comprehensive national dialogue

in
order to agree on what preserves Jordan and its security. The
council
affirmed that it is against any aggression that threatens the
security of Jordan and that the MB will be one rank with all
components of the Jordanian people in order to protect the homeland
against any outside threat.
The council also called on the Jordanian Government to assume its
responsibility toward the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It affirmed the need to
confront the practices to Judaize, storm, and desecrate the Al-Aqsa
Mosque and the need to mobilize the Jordanian people to stand
against
the Zionist plan, the expansion of settlement activity, and the
Judaization of Jerusalem and the holy places.
The council affirmed that the lack of seriousness about fighting
corruption is clear in the policies that have been adopted by the
current and former governments. This is reflected on the suffering
of
the Jordanian people. It is the major obstacle that stands in the
face of real reform, which takes the country out of the crises and
problems it is in.
God is great, and praise be to God.
