infantry division yesterday
began leaving
Mosul and may be headed to Saddam's hometown
of Tikrit to bolster defenses there and
reinforce the northern approaches to Baghdad.

-- The division probably is headed for Tikrit, but it could be moved further south, to
improve defenses west or south of Baghdad. It would take two to three days to move it
to central Iraq using HETs and rail.
