Members of the Resistance
Commando, a left-wing ter-
rorist group, were planning
to kidnap one or more Ameri-
cans traveling on the "Queen
Elizabeth II" (which is due
in Santo Domingo on 10 Feb-
ruary) to exchange for some
political prisoners in
Dominican custody. (Sec the
27 January issue, page B-I-
2.)
In mid-January the Guatemalan
Communist Party (PGT) had in-
formation that the Guerrilla
Army of the Poor (EGP) is plan-
ning violent action against
U.S. military advisors in
Guatemala. (See the 20 Janu-
ary issue. paQe B-I-1.)
Three Cuban exile groups in
the Miami area, Alpha-66,
the 2nd Front of Escambray
and an unidentified third
group, are planning to as-
sassinate Cuban Premier
Castro when he visits Mexico.
